I thought that Amy’s Goodman Arrest was unjust. Im not sure but the only reason I think the arrest would be ok is if they would have looked over the problem which then would lead to the arrest. Amy Goodman had no intention to irritate authority. I don’t think. Jordin Bowman

September 10, 2008 by jordin17The Media and how it changed part of my life
November 26, 2008 by jordin17My Ipod has changed part of my life. How? Because without it, I don’t think I could function correctly. I love music. It has a big effect negatively when it gets taken away. I miss it! The reason I think it helps me is because For example, When I’m doing math, I can focus better than if I have other distractions in the room.
The negative part is that when it get taken away then I explode verbally and sometimes physically.
World Visions
November 22, 2008 by jordin17I went to WWU to learn about the Aids crisis in africa. I thought it was very interesting in the fact that it must be hard to live in africa with Aids everywhere. I was brought on a journey/story of the life of Katombo, a afircan girl whos parents have died of Aids. She luckily was HIV negitive.
The exibit I went to was cool because they made the expierience, Hands on. Everybody was given an Ipod, and was able to listen to the story. Then there was the vision part of things where they had rooms set up to show her life. I learned so much and will never forget that people have it so much harder than me, and will forever respect that.
A Teacher’s Relationship with student’s.
November 20, 2008 by jordin17I think that a teacher should have a good relationship with student’s because then when a student is having a hard time, then the student and the teacher can easily fix each others problems. If they had a poor relationship then I would assume that, the teacher wouldn’t be a good teacher.
I am fortunite to have very good relationships with my teachers:)
war photos that changed history. Take two.
November 19, 2008 by jordin17Kim Phuc, A 45 year old, south Vietnamese women, when at the age of nine, suffered a napalm attack on a south Vietnam town. She was running down a street naked and in pain. During this event, an american took a photograph of her. Kim, at 45 years old, explained her experience of this event and she remembers that she was in great pain at the time and had 17 operations. her life was changed by this experience. She read the Holy Bible and then opened up to god. At the end of the book, she was able to forgive. when life gave her lemons, she made lemonade.
Youtube’s “Pro Skaters, Big Gaps”
November 18, 2008 by jordin17I really Like “Pro Skaters, Big Gaps” because it’s insparational to me. As a begining Skater, my goal is to become as good as the people in the video. I feel like I could cry for these people because of their determination and the pain they had to go through to learn that spesific trick. They have AMAZING skating skills. I know what it’s like to learn hard tricks. It must have taken them a long a$$ time to get that good. I like that during the whole video, when the skater does a really hard trick, the video is fast when the skater is on the loading dock but, in the midst of the trick in midair, it slows waaaaay down. That pretty cool! The music is the topper for me. The mode of the video is that I guess, skating can be Emotional for some people (and it was for me). The music seemed to fit the mood and made me understand that!
If you think you want to watch it go to www.Youtube.com then put in the search bar “Pro Skaters, Big Gaps”.
war photos that changed history.
November 17, 2008 by jordin17People didn’t know anything about the war until Photos were brought in the image of things. People didn’t know what was going on on the battle ground until photos were introduced. People then where discouraged and disgusted to see images like people who were effected by napalm or tortured and many more images that I think to me that were disappointing.
Vietnam Veterans.
October 31, 2008 by jordin17I thought that the people at a senior center in bellingham were interesting. But I had nothing to bring away from the expierience except a little bit of kudos for them
Reporting America At War. 2nd 1/2
October 27, 2008 by jordin17It must have been hard for photographer to be in a war because they could be shot at. It also must have been hard to whitness a soldier die.
Reporting America at war.
October 24, 2008 by jordin17Why can’t photographers see the whole war at hand? For simple reasons like the photographers have only one small piece that their looking at. They physically cant see two battles at once. They would have to step back and look at little pieces of every battle.
movie on war.
October 22, 2008 by jordin17During school i watched a movie about how the viet nam war was brought to the american ear. By jurnalists. I thought the movie was depressing because the viet nam war was so devistating and too much blood sheading for my eyes. But I also thought that it was interesting to know that the Journalist/photographer was willing to risk his or her life (as well as the soldiers) to bring informatoin to america.
